Dead Sea
Riddled in history and mystery, there is absolutely no way one could pass up the opportunity to swim in the Dead Sea. What ever you do, DO NOT TASTE THE WATER! (curiosity burns the tongue).
We decided to stay at the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa. The price was fair
considering the accommodations. My buddy and I shared a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the Dead Sea and Israel just beyond. And it ran us only 250JD split between us. Between the Dead sea, Pools, Spa, amazing buffet and bars at the resort we didn’t want to leave but we didn’t travel 6,000 miles to see a resort.
Mount Nebo
Only 30 minutes away from the Resort is Mt. Nebo. If you don’t know the story, Mount Nebo, is where Moses was granted a view of the Promise land which he would never enter. Christian and Islamic belief is that Moses was also buried on this mountain. Beautiful view and you can’t help but reflect on all the people who’ve stood at this exact place.
